Sainsbury’s recalls kids’ cocktail sausages

Sainsbury’s has recalled packs of 20 own-brand ‘Kids Pork Cocktail Sausages’ because some packs may have the wrong ‘use by’ date of 25 December 2013 on them.

According to Sainsbury’s and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) the product should have been labelled with 25 November 2013. “Eating a product after its ‘use by’ date could pose a possible risk to health”, the FSA said, after issuing a Product Recall Information Notice.

“If you have bought the product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund,” the FSA added.
