Sizzling new campaign for barbecues

EBLEX will launch a new campaign to encourage people to buy Quality Standard beef and lamb for barbecues fronted by TV personality Ben Fogle.

The EBLEX Grillers Safari Guide will give information on how to barbecue beyond the garden with tips for cooking and transporting food, advice on what to cook, and a health and safety survival guide.

Jane Ritchie-Smith, EBLEX consumer marketing head said: “Most people do not realise you’re allowed to barbecue in public places.

“With such fantastic outdoor locations across the country, what better way to spend a summer’s day than enjoying a delicious barbecue on a beautiful beach or in lush parkland? The English countryside is so beautiful that we want to encourage people to get out there and enjoy it.”

The new resource, which can be accessed at which comes on the back of new research which shows that 82% of adults believe spending time outside is what summer is all about and 85% think that a barbecue epitomises summer.

The campaign is part of EBLEX’s ongoing strategy to encourage more consumers to make the most of the quality beef and lamb and help producers get the best returns from their animals.
