Ginsters beefs up its line

Savoury pastry brand Ginsters of Cornwall has announced it is relaunching its individual 180g boxed pie range for this Autumn.

From this month, there will be a packaging refresh and some new pie flavours, including Steak & Onion and Peppered Steak, with a British look on the boxes.

Ginsters marketing head Andy Valentine said: “The refreshed packaging, with appetising product imagery and upweighted provenance message, has gone down really well with consumers in research . They are looking for good-quality ingredients and a properly filled product that has a homemade feel. Ginsters’ pies deliver against these demands and the British meat message is a key driver to purchase.”

The new packaging will now feature the British flag as part of its design, to highlight Ginsters’ use of only British meat and locally sourced vegetables, and there will be additional product photography on the side of the pack to aid product identification and selection in store.

Ginsters is to also introducing a brand new range of Lattice products in-store from the end of September, such as Chicken and Steak & Onion, and its ‘Keeping a Close Eye on Quality’ advertising on television will return at the end of the month.

Valentine added: “Our new lattice pies are convenient and easy to prepare for a delicious mid-week family meal. British beef and chicken and locally sourced vegetables combine in well-loved recipes that will appeal to adults and children alike.”

The Ginsters 180g pies are available in Steak, Chicken & Mushroom, Steak & Onion and Peppered Steak variants with an RRP of £1.59, while the Ginsters lattices are available in Chicken and Steak & Onion variants with an RRP of £3.
