French chefs showcase Quality Standard beef and lamb

Eight French chefs used English Quality Standard beef and lamb in a number of recipes at a top Paris food show.

The Vintage Beef Select and Cottage Lamb ranges, which are supplied to French restaurants, were showcased to delegates at the SuccessFood Show in Paris. The chefs demonstrated how to get the best results out of the products.

This comes just weeks after English Quality Standard beef and lamb was sampled by delegates, including importers, wholesalers, retailers and butchers, at the SIA International Agricultural Show in Paris.

Rémi Fourrier, Eblex export manager in France, said: “Following the positive response we received at SIA, the SuccessFood Show gave us the opportunity to present Quality Standard beef and lamb to a different audience. Foodservice is an important sector for us and the recipes developed by the chefs using beef and lamb highlighted the products’ quality and versatility.”

Quality Standard beef is next due to be presented at the VIP lounge at the Egast Show in Strasbourg on 17 March. The last show in 2012 featured more than 300 exhibitors and attracted 28,000 visitors.
