Charity dinner tickets selling fast

The annual Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) is urging industry to get their seats booked for its annual dinner as tickets are reportedly running out.

The BDCI dinner, which is the charity’s most profitable event, will be held at the Grosvenor House hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday, 31 October.

The charity, which is the largest of its kind for the meat industry has had a strong fundraising year with almost £6,000 raised at its golfing event and £800 raised at a gala dinner.

Entertainment for the evening comes in the form of actress, comedian and ventriloquist Nina Conti, while Livestock Auctioneer Ken Pritchard will host this year’s auction.

“The event is attracting a lot of support this year and ticket sales have gone well. This means there are not many left, so if you want to attend and have not yet bought your ticket, now is the time to do so to avoid disappointment,” said a spokesperson for the BDCI.
