Winter promotional kit to boost beef and lamb sales

Eblex Quality Standard Mark (QSM) scheme members are set to receive a winter promotional kit to help sales of beef and lamb.

The organisation said the point-of-sale (POS) kit is packed with marketing materials that have been especially designed to showcase a range of beef and lamb cuts to customers throughout the winter, helping butchers to optimise carcase value and versatility, and helping shoppers find consistently high-quality beef and lamb.

Mike Richardson, Eblex independent retailer sector manager, said: “The winter POS kit has been created to help retailers drive sales of beef and lamb throughout the colder months. The kit contains eye-catching and appealing promotional material which, when displayed prominently, will help to create an inviting atmosphere in-store.

“We’ve also included a leaflet within the kit, featuring useful tips and advice on how to make the most of our marketing material and the key times to use it.”

The kit is divided into three sections, with the first branded Slowly Does It Winter Essentials. This helps butchers promote a range of added value beef and lamb cuts that are ideal for slow cooking.

Another section is the Festive Fayre kit, involving meal ideas for the season, including  centrepieces and canapés for Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Lastly, there is New Year, New Start, Lighter Options, which Eblex said was developed to help independent retailers inspire their customers with lighter beef and lamb meal options after the indulgent Christmas season.
