AHDB prepares for 2015 conference

The Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is preparing to hold its 2015 Outlook Conference, which will take place at One Great George Street in Westminster on Wednesday 11 February.

The event will be hosted by AHDB’s three livestock divisions – Eblex, DairyCo and Bpex – as well as AHDB Market Intelligence. Eblex said the event will focus on exploring the factors that affect the delegates’ businesses in their respective sectors, including trade developments and emerging opportunities.

Within this, topics will include the potential for exports to the Far East, developments and forecasting of consumer trends. There will also be a panel session for the attendees to explore market issues with industry experts, as well as break-out sessions which will give sector-specific outlooks.

AHDB chairman Peter Kendall said: “All of us in the industry should be in no doubt that the way in which we manage global market volatility is going to be vital. It remains critical, however, for us to keep looking at the long-term prospects for the industry.

“Growing markets at home and overseas will continue to present us with big opportunities. Understanding these market opportunities and how to capitalise on them is more important than ever and the AHDB Outlook Conference is the ideal platform to explore them in greater detail.”
