AHDB conference to look at emerging opportunities

The Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is preparing to address the prospects for the beef, lamb, pig, poultry and dairy sectors in its 2015 Outlook Conference next month.

The conference, to be held at One Great George Street in Westminster on 11 February, will be hosted by AHDB divisions Eblex, Bpex, DairyCo and AHDB Market Intelligence (MI).

Eblex said trade developments and emerging opportunities were due to be examined, with experts also giving an overview of the market outlook for each sector represented at the event.

The recently knighted AHDB chairman Peter Kendall will open the event. The conference will also address consumer trends and the potential of exporting to the Far East.

Stephen Howarth, market specialist manager at AHDB MI, said: “Outlook is a key fixture in the industry calendar and the perfect platform for stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in their respective sectors. Places are limited and I would urge all those interested in attending to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
