Importance of leather highlighted to meat industry

The Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT) is opening its doors on 17 February to highlight the importance of leather, as a sector, to the meat industry.

The University of Northampton-based centre researches scientific and technological applications of leather, as well as key issues within the leather and related industries.

The day will include a tour of the ICLT site labs and tannery, followed by a visit to the Leather Conservation Centre. Visitors and experts will also take part in a live debate on the environmental footprint of leather.
