The webinar is part of MTJ’s ongoing campaign to help industry tackle the campylobacter challenge in poultry. The magazine has teamed up with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to organise and host an online seminar, a webinar, to inform and discuss some of the issues faced.

Campylobacter is the most common cause of food poisoning in the UK. About four in five cases of campylobacter poisoning in the UK come from contaminated poultry – that’s an estimated 280,000 people a year, according to FSA statistics.

Ed Bedington, editor of Meat Trades Journal, will be chairing the session with presentations by Steve Wearne, director of policy at the FSA, David Keeble, Faccenda’s technical & development director and Gary Ford, chief poultry adviser at the National Farmers’ Union. These presentations will be followed by a live question-and-answer session.
