SuperMeat product finalists are revealed

After a lengthy judging process, we are delighted to reveal the product finalists of the SuperMeat & Fish Awards 2015.

Each product entered into the annual awards has undergone a thorough judging process, carried out by industry professionals, including butchers, fishmongers, chefs, caterers, dieticians and food technologists.

Georgi Gyton, deputy editor, Meat Trades Journal, said: “The variety of entries, and innovative recipes and packaging, seen during the judging process were fantastic and made for a really interesting and tightly fought contest. I know the judges had a tough time narrowing the entries down to just three finalists in each category, but we got there in the end.”

In addition to the product categories, the competition will see some of the country’s leading retailers, including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, fighting it out to be named this year’s Meat & Fish Retailer of the Year. Joining them in the competition will be Aldi, The Co-operative Group, Spar and Iceland, which will be fighting to pick up gongs in the product rounds of the competition.

The winners of the Product-, Store-, and Head Office Initiative Awards will be unveiled at the prestigious SuperMeat & Fish Awards, which will take place at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane London on Thursday 2 July 2015.

The awards are kindly sponsored by Bpex, Eblex, Hybu Cig Cymru, Weidermark Fleischwaren (Tönnies Fleisch), and the Livestock & Meat Commission of Northern Ireland (LMC).
