Etherington Meats unveils £30,000 kitchen expansion project

Etherington Meats is set to grow its business with a new industrial kitchen. 

Located at the company’s headquarters in Wheal Rose, Scorrier, in Cornwall, the £30,000 installation will create more jobs in the business.

The state-of-the-art commercial kitchen features the SelfCookingCentre 5 Senses from supplier Rational and allows for more productivity, greater control and the best environmental health management.

Etherington Meats kitchen was opened by Malcolm Ball and Brian Edgeler from the Commercial Food & Safety Dept of Cornwall Council who have supported the Etherington Meats’ building project by offering advice to ensure the kitchen is of the best quality and commercial viability.

Mark Etherington, md said: “It is exciting to see the new kitchen in production making new products that we are adding to our wholesale and retail shelves including BBQ pulled pork. We are also able to step up production of our Taste of the West Gold awarded Wheal Rose hogs pudding.”

“We are committed to investing heavily in expanding our business and increasing production to meet demand. This will result in more jobs for local people and a greater investment into our wider local economy.”
