Pig profitability to be addressed at AHDB Pork conference

AHDB Pork is due to hold a series of events throughout November and December, with the aim of helping stockmen and farm managers in producing a profitable pig.

The meetings, which are being held at six locations with four differing programmes, will cover regional issues for indoor and outdoor pig producers alike. Concerns relating to land and health management will be addressed in the half-day meetings.

“The meetings cover a range of topics and will offer both stockmen and managers take-home messages they can implement immediately on the unit,” said AHDB Pork’s technical co-ordinator Miriam Drewett, who has also organised the events.

“I would urge people to make the effort to attend as they will be a valuable use of time,” she continued.

The meetings will take place throughout the country from 17 November to 9 December.

17 November – The Bridge, Walshford, Wetherby, North Yorkshire LS22 5HS
18 November – Beverley Racecourse, York Road, Beverley, North Humberside HU17 8QZ
25 November – The Granary, Heath Lane, Shenstone, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10 4BS
