Halal range launches on AmazonFresh

Haloodies (Halal Foodies) is now available through the newly-launched AmazonFresh service, offering produce aimed at millennial Muslims. 

The halal food brand launched 16 lines with AmazonFresh in Central and East London on Friday 11 June.

The product range features 14 lines of pre-packed fresh halal meat including chicken and free-range lamb and beef cuts and two lines of ready to eat cooked chicken in two varieties – plain and tikka.

These lines have been tailored to suit millennial Muslims’ demand for convenience as a result of a busy lifestyle. “Our availability on AmazonFresh strengthens our proposition with our core customer group of millennial Muslims who are concerned about the general quality of halal products on the market and actively seek out a brand they can trust,” said Imran Kausar, Haloodies co-founder and managing director of KKR Halal Ltd.

“As a 100% Muslim-owned brand with a focus on quality and convenience, Haloodies can match those expectations.”

Noman Khawaja, also co-founder of Haloodies and sales director of KKR Halal Ltd said that the company has been working with Amazon for over a year planning the halal range. “We are particularly excited about the launch of our new and versatile cooked chicken range which is completely new for the halal consumer to enjoy,” he said.

“We can bring convenience and taste to the consumer in a product that is 100% chicken breast meat and through AmazonFresh it will be delivered to your door with fast and flexible delivery.”

After its launch in 2014, Haloodies became the first company to offer a halal meat brand to Ocado, as well as becoming the first ever halal meat brand to introduce a fresh range with Harrods, available during the summer months.
