Greggs launches delivery service in London

Sausage rolls, pasties and steak bakes are now available for delivery in the UK’s capital city.

Greggs bakery chain is trialling its Greggs Delivered service in London. Consumers can now order baked goods straight to their homes or offices.

The service is currently only available in areas of London that are within a delivery radius of 0.4 miles from Greggs Cheapside and Greggs Eastcheap, with further trial locations planned throughout 2017. The service is already being trialled in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Raymond Reynolds, retail director at Greggs, said: “Convenience is key in the food-on-the-go market, and we’re extremely excited to offer delivery of a selection of our great-tasting prepared food directly to our customers, by trialling a free delivery service in two of our London shops.”

Orders should be placed before 5pm for next-day delivery and must be paid for with either a credit or debit card, with a minimum spend of £20. Delivery will take place the following day between 10am and 12pm.
