Pork pie brand gets cheesy

Maker of ‘posh pork pies’, Tottle has launched a Pork, Cheddar and ale pie to celebrate National Cheese Lovers Day on 20 January. 

Cheddar – which, according to a survey from pickle brand Branston, was voted the nation’s favourite cheese – is being combined with real ale and outdoor-bred pork in honour of the occasion.

In addition, Tottle has launched a Long Clawson Stilton with pork and apple to mark the day.

“Our new range is a celebration of the UK’s best food and drink, using Britain’s favourite cheese combined with real ale and outdoor bred pork, the flavours are a natural complement to each other,” said Sam Benjamin, brand manager at Tottle.

“Tottle is all about combining the best of British flavours, using premium ingredients to create some really unique and luxurious baked foods. We are currently looking at developing a whole host of new ranges, with flavours and combinations that will really offer food-lovers something quite different.”

Tottle is available in Sainsbury’s stores and on its own website. Aside from premium pork pies, the firm offers sausage rolls, quiches and hot pies, using quality ingredients that are diced and marinated in Tottle’s specially selected seasonings, and encased in hot water crust pastry using Italian lard.
