Allergy concerns cause chicken product recalls

Two chicken products have been recalled following concerns over allergen labelling.

The Co-op has recalled its Southern Fried Chicken Wrap, as it contains allergens not declared on pack. Fish and milk are both included in the product ingredients, but are not correctly declared. The products concerned have a date code up to and including 31 January 2017.

Meanwhile, New Covent Garden Soup Co is recalling its Skinny Goan Spiced Chicken soup because it contains mustard, which is not declared on the label. The batch recalled includes 600g and 700g products with use-by dates up to and including 19 February 2017. Its 400g variant is not subject to recall. No other New Covent Garden Soup Co products are known to be affected.
