Meat supplier rewarded for manufacturing practices

Eurostock Foods, a value meat supplier with locations in Northern Ireland and Wigan, has been awarded with the British Retail Consortium’s (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety (Issue 7).

The firm achieved a Grade A++ status and was rated with zero non-conformances, meaning it is 100% compliant with BRC’s standards.

“As a partner supplier to some of the UK and Europe’s leading retailers, we have invested in leading-edge systems and processes to ensure we employ the highest possible standards across our production sites,” explained Arlene McEvoy, technical manager for Eurostock.

“This recognition by the BRC is further evidence of how Eurostock continues to raise the bar when it comes to best practice. Ultimately this offers great reassurance to both our retail customers and the end-consumer.”

The assessment included an unannounced audit of the company’s premises, its operational systems and producers. The accreditation ensures that the best practice within the production process is being implemented, which subsequently secures product safety along the processing line.
