UV breakthrough hailed for knife sterilisation

A waterless steriliser, offering an alternative to hot water for sterilising knives and other tools in cutting plants and abattoirs, has been approved by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and is already attracting considerable interest from the meat industry, according to its inventor.
