Brian Conley to host BDCI festival dinner

Comedian Brian Conley has been announced as the host for this year’s Butchers and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) festival dinner.

The 2017 BDCI Festival Dinner takes place on Friday 20 October in The Great Room at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. As well as Conley, the night will feature fine dining, superb live music and a charity auction and raffle.

The annual event raises much-needed funds for those working in the meat industry who may have fallen on hard times.

Julien Pursglove, BDCI festival chairman, said: “I am so very much looking forward to welcoming you and your guests to the 2017 BDCI Festival Dinner, at which we’ll be premiering our forthcoming ‘Lean On Us’ campaign. This is the next phase of the BDCI’s continuing commitment to providing support for those from our industry who find themselves in need.

“More than ever before, we rely on your help to enable us to offer our help. Let’s never forget that this is our own meat industry charity and it’s up to all of us to make sure it continues to thrive and remain relevant. As Festival chairman, it is my job to raise as much money as possible, so I will be calling on my industry colleagues to provide support in the form of auction prizes and advertising in the Festival Dinner brochure.”
