Snaffling Pig continues to crack grocery sector

Premium pork crackling producer Snaffling Pig has expanded its portfolio with the launch of its new pork crumb seasoning.

Produced using the firm’s pork crackling, the crumbs are designed to add another crunchy dimension to everyday favourite food options such as burgers, sandwiches and salads.

“Crackling is so much more diverse than people give it credit for. We’d seen the trend for using it as an ingredient and noted the number of our customers who were following low-carb diets, and felt it was an exciting next step to take on our pork adventure,” explained Andrew Allen, co-founder and marketing director of The Snaffling Pig Co.

“We’re thrilled to be expanding The Snaffling Pig range and looking forward to letting our fans experiment with it. We should give a special mention to Andrew Ayres at Ocado, who helped to drive making this product a reality. It’s lovely to have such a great partnership with him and his team.”

Similar to its flavoured crackling, Snaffling Pig’s new crumbs are double-cooked to produce a softer product. The new product is unseasoned, resulting in an authentic and undiluted pork flavour. Snaffling Pig’s crumbs are available now in 50g tubs from and Ocado for £1.99.
