Wall’s to support Dorset County Show

Wall’s Pastry has been unveiled as one of the main sponsors for the Dorset County Show.

The popular show is a highlight in the Dorset calendar, having been around since 1840.

As well as offering free samples of Wall’s Pastry’s delicious delights, the food giant will also be selling slices and sausage rolls, with all proceeds donated to Julia’s House, which is Dorset and Wiltshire’s children’s hospice.

Michael Holton, brand marketing manager at Wall’s Pastry, said: “We have been involved in a number of county shows and festivals throughout the country, but we felt it was extremely important to feature at the Dorset County Show.

“As a main employer in the county, we wanted to show our support to the area. Not only that, it gives us an excellent opportunity to raise valuable funds for Julia’s House, a hospice that our bakery in Poole has supported on a number of occasions. The Dorset County Show is a key event in the area, and we are looking forward to being part of it.”

The Dorset County Show takes place on 2-3 September.

Laura Kelly, community fundraising manager for Julia’s House said: “A big thank you to Wall’s for choosing Julia’s House as its charity for an important event like the Dorset County Show. Our charity is almost entirely publicly funded so the support of local community is really important to the families we care for.”
