Essentia celebrates 30 years of Drinde

Ingredients specialist Essentia Protein Solutions has launched a new video to mark 30 years of its Drinde functional pork protein brand. 

‘The story of Drinde’ goes behind the scenes to explain what Drinde is, how it is made from 100% natural pork and why it is a convenient meat ingredient for food manufacturers and processors.

The video features scenes of Drinde being manufactured at Essentia’s UK operation in Tipton, West Midlands, which has recently been awarded the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety for the 22nd consecutive year.

Essentia retained the highest grade AA in the dried foods and ingredients, and raw prepared product categories.  

This year, Essentia has successfully passed an additional Voluntary Module VM11 which provides assurance to customers on its meat supply chain. The business has also successfully renewed its BQAP (British Quality Assured Pork) accredited status for the 10th year running, for the Drinde brand.
