GALLERY: Meatopia, in pictures

This weekend saw the return of the annual Meatopia, held at Tobacco Dock, London.

Providing a platform for some of Britain’s meatiest street food businesses, as well as hosting international chefs, the event saw almost 50 meat-based cooks gather in once place to treat customers to a variety of barbecued and grilled foods.

Meatopia was founded in the US by Josh Ozersky and brought to the UK by chef Richard H Turner. Its purpose is to provide a festival of high-quality, ethically sourced meat, cooked over ethically sourced wood and charcoal.

Meat Trades Journal attended the event on the opening night, Friday 1 September. Click through the gallery below to have a look at some of the many highlights.
