Export conference attracts food industry heavyweights

Food industry heavyweights are poised to deliver the inside track on the development of UK food and drink export markets at William Reed’s Food Export Conference on Thursday 5 October.

Pitched at food producers of all sizes, the event will offer essential intelligence and guidance on maximising international trade potential, for firms beginning the journey and those with growing export businesses.

Directors from Cranswick and Dingley Dell Pork will be offering their perspectives on the export game. The all-day conference, organised by William Reed brands Meat Trades Journal, Food Manufacture and British Baker will feature input from the Department for International Trade, IGD, Euromonitor International and the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board.

Presentation topics will include: Help for New Exporters; Joint Working for Export Approval; Access to the EU Single Market, Bilateral Agreements and WTO Rules. Representatives of England, Scotland and Wales will also provide their views on export market potential.

The day will be split into four main sessions: Taking British Food and Drink across the Globe; View from the Coalface; Exporting in a World after Brexit; and Tips on Export Success.

The event – sponsored by AIB International and held at the Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwick – is deliberately timed to occur just before the Anuga Food Fair in Cologne, Germany, which will run from 7-11 October.
