Butchers’ day designed to connect industry specialists

A one-day networking event has been created to help butchers optimise Christmas sales.

Created by The National Federation of Meat & Food Traders (NFMFT), the event will take place on 31 October at the Windmill Village Hotel in Coventry. Butcher delegates will have the opportunity to connect with businesses in the run-up to the festive season, with exhibitors specialising in ingredients, packaging, sundries and equipment.

A ‘Butchers Forum’ in the afternoon will feature demonstrations for attendees to learn how to make the most of the exhibiting equipment.

Furthermore, the event will include a festive products competition, where butchers will be able to showcase a range of products with categories including Christmas roasts, mini hams and chipolatas.

Additional awards will be presented for the Innovative Festive Product and Overall Festive Product of the day.

A hot fork buffet will wrap up the day around 6pm, followed by competition results and presentation of trophies.

Further information, including details on entering the competition, are available at www.nfmft.co.uk

The event is being supported by Lucas Ingredients; Windsor Food Machinery; Innovative Food Ingredients; A W Smiths; McDonnells; Leonards; Dalziel; William Jones Packaging; RAPS; Weddel Swift; Bizerba; Verstegen; Pentic; and W R Wright & Sons.
