Are you a sausage-making champion? If so, you're in with a chance of taking home the ultimate sausage-makers accolade this October.

MTJ's Champion of Champions sausage competition is one of the high points in the butchery calendar and possibly one of the most hotly contested titles.

Any butcher who has taken the top title at a sausage competition in the last 12 months, ending 30 September 2010, is eligible for the competition, which takes place at Butcher's Hall, London, on 25 October.

Ed Bedington, editor of MTJ, said: "Champion of Champions is one of the most hotly contested titles in the butchery trade.

"Butchers pride themselves on their sausage-making skills, and to be crowned the ultimate sausage maker in that year is an accolade many aspire to.
