Keelham Hall Farm aiming for Yorkshire awards win
Keelham Hall Farm Shop is in with a chance of adding to its previous awards success with a prestigious regional title.
The Bradford-based business is one of three companies shortlisted for the meat awards category in the annual Yorkshire Post Taste Yorkshire Awards.
Its nomination follows the news that Keelham Hall Farm Shop has also been shortlisted as one of three finalists for the Farm Shop Butchery of the Year category in MTJ’s Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards.
The shop has got through to the final of the Taste Yorkshire Awards with its home-made pork, rhubarb and mango sausages, which it describes as Yorkshire through and through.
The pork comes from Yorkshire-reared pigs, the rhubarb from the famous Yorkshire Rhubard Triangle, while the mango chutney, runner-up in the Deliciously Yorkshire Awards, is sourced through West Yorkshire supplier Curry Cuisine.
The Taste Yorkshire Awards are being run in association with the York Food and Drink Festival from September 17-26 and the winner will be announced at an awards dinner on Friday, 24 September.
On 20 September, Keelham Hall Farm Shop will be showcasing its award-winning sausage ranges at the festival by handing out free tastings in the cookery demonstration tent in Parliament Street, York.
In addition, Keelham Hall Farm Shop is – for the second consecutive year - among a shortlist of three finalists in the annual Yorkshire Post Business in Excellence Awards for companies with a turnover of up to £10m.
