BDCI dinner was ‘fantastic’ says Carsten Jakobsen

The meat industry was out in force for this year’s record-breaking BDCI dinner.

With more than 1,300 in attendance the evening managed to raise more than £100,000 alone, with the final total still being totted up.

Chris Evans, Jools Holland and Alison Moyet proved a huge hit and festival chair Carsten Jakobsen said: “It was absolutely fantastic. I’ve never seen anything like it. I was very pleased on behalf of the charity. The charity is coming awake again and coming into this century.

“The entertainment and host were fantastic and Chris Evans was second-to-none in raising money in the auction for the charity.”

The Danish Crown vice CEO added: “I was pleased to see the teamwork to put this evening on and the help that the BDCI committee has given has been absolutely fantastic. I am so pleased that so many people came. I owe them a big thank you.”

The event was held at the Great Ballroom, Grosvenor House hotel on Park Lane, London, on 15 October (Friday).
