2 Sisters Food Group increases yearly turnover

Chicken procossor 2 Sisters Food Group has increased turnover to 579m from 508m, with profits leaping by 33% to 33.9m.

The Midlands firm is owned by Ranjit Boparan who has an estimated fortune of 135m.

A 2 Sisters spokesperson said: Our continued drive to reduce costs and run our business as if we are in a recession has stood us in good stead during this difficult economic period.

The increase in feed ingredient prices is still a real threat to our business, as it is for many other food manufacturers.

The acquisition of the Storteboom Group fits with 2 Sisters business strategy and provides an established platform to support expansion into Central Europe.

We aspire to grow the business by producing the best-quality products at the lowest cost.
