RSPCA to hold pig welfare conference

The RSPCA is organising a one-day conference in London this month on pig welfare, open to key stakeholders in the food industry.

The conference will be held on 18 January 2011 at the Radission Blu Hotel, 22 Portman Square, London. It is looking for representatives from the food industry, pig industry, academia and UK government, who are willing to take part in exchange of ideas and information and explore possible areas for mutually beneficial collaboration.

The RSPCA conference is part of a larger project, gathering information about current plans, initiatives, trials and practices specifically in the areas of non-confining indoor farrowing and avoiding or reducing tail biting and tail docking.

A detailed agenda for the event will be circulated to attendees nearer the time. For information contact victoria@inanyevent-uk.com.
