Yorkshire Dales Meat extends Asda listing
Yorkshire Dales Meat is to extend the range of products it supplies to the supermarket giant Asda.
The family-owned farm and butchery company has been supplying the retailer with its handmade beef and lamb burgers and beef meatballs since 2009, with average sales of 70 cases per week.
Now, the company has started to supply rib-eye, rump and sirloin steaks as well.
Factory manager James Knox said “We are delighted to have so many products listed by Asda, with the steaks being added just in time for the BBQ season. We are looking forward to increasing our product range and are hoping for some good weather, so everybody can enjoy the summer.”
To complement the lamb & mint and beef burgers, the company will also be supplying pork & apple burgers.
Yorkshire Dales Meat has also undergone a rebranding, with new packaging developed last year, that is now on the shelves in both Asda and Morrisons supermarkets. The packaging has increased the sales of burgers and meatballs and has helped to raised awareness of the brand.
