Bpex livestock transport bio-system meeting
Bpex is inviting all livestock hauliers, pig marketing groups and veterinarians to attend a meeting on livestock transport bio-security this Thursday.
The meeting is part of Bpex’s review of industry bio-security standards, which has been investigating the suitability of lorry washing facilities at abattoirs. Many livestock hauliers have already highlighted concerns after completing a simple assessment.
The topic for discussion include: pig movements and journey times, bio-security and disease transfer, legislation, best practice for vehicle wash down and post wash down inspections.
The meeting is being held at Diss Golf Club in Norfolk on Thursday 19 May at 6.30pm. To register for the meeting, please contact Colin Stone on 07816 941 223 or by email, email@example.com.
