Simon Howie wins Compass contract

Award-winning butcher Simon Howie has won a major contract to supply one of Scotland’s leading independent schools, Glenalmond College, after being nominated as a supplier for leading foodservice, Compass Group UK and Ireland.

The Scottish butcher, based in Dunning, outside Perth, will provide a range of meat products for the co-educational boarding and day school, which is set in extensive grounds in the Perthshire countryside.

Steven Lynn, Scottish sales manager at Simon Howie, said: “We are delighted to become a nominated supplier to Compass and hope that we can consolidate and extend this relationship into other outlets and facilities served by the group.

“I know that Compass is fully committed to local sourcing and am pleased that we have been able to assist them in achieving this objective for its contract with Glenalmond College, one of Scotland’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools.”
