Men in lycra end in triumph
The fantastic four cyclists raising money for the BDCI have now completed their round the British Isles trek, finishing up the 600-mile ride in Edinburgh this week.
So far the four, John Mercer, Eoin Ryan, Mark Allan and Stuart Roberts, have managed to raise £33,660 for the industry’s charity, and more donations are being accepted – you can donate by clicking here.
The ride saw the four cyclist set off from Shropshire, visiting plants through England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, before ending the ride in Edinburgh.
Festival chairman Beatrice Blake, of Bord Bía, described the four’s marathon as an “amazing achievement”.
