Eblex conference to address market opportunities
Domestic and global market opportunities for beef and lamb will be the focus of this year's Eblex annual conference in November.
The conference, which is free to Eblex levy payers, will look at how to capitalise on trade opportunities, with sector director Nick Allen, head of trade development Peter Hardwick and Blade Farming managing director Richard Phelps discussing the longer-term global prospects for beef and lamb and how to ensure that the domestic market remains buoyant.
Professor Robert Pickard of the Meat Advisory Panel, and former chairman of the Forum for the Royal Society for Public Health and the Department of Health, will look at the role of red meat in the diet, while the Irish perspective on beef and lamb production will be presented by Irish Farmers Journal livestock editor Justin McCarthy.
The conference will be take place on 2 November at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth. For more information, visit the conference section at www.eblex.org.uk.
