Bpex appoints new KT manager

Bpex has appointed a new East of England knowledge transfer (KT) manager following the departure of Colin Stone.

Richard Bows has been the unit manager at Ermine Farms in Lincolnshire for 23 years, where he was responsible for 750 sows and taking all progeny to bacon weight. He has been a level-three assessor for eight years and recently attained the PTLLS teaching qualification.

Bpex head of knowledge transfer Andrew Knowles said: “Richard has a tremendous amount of practical knowledge gained over many years of pig-keeping. He will be a real asset both to Bpex and pig producers throughout the east of England.”
