Castle Foods Company withdraws ready-meals
Castle Foods Company (London) has withdrawn ready-meals labelled as Sangha Foods and Core Foods.
The withdrawals were due to the products being "manufactured in premises not approved for meat products" and production was ceased by the local authority last Wednesday (20 February).
Distribution of the products has been restricted mainly to the London boroughs and adjoining neighbouring authorities.
According to the Food Standards Agency, all ‘use by’ dates of the following Sangha Foods or Core Foods labelled products are being withdrawn: chicken tikka masala with rice, chicken curry with rice, chicken biryani and lamb biryani with rice.
