With recipes inspired by flavours from Mexico, China, Italy and Britain, the red meat promotion agency has distributed posters to independent butchers and retailers across Wales, advising customers to "look for the logos" when shopping for Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef.
HCC’s brand marketing officer Philippa Gill claimed the company produced the booklet for retailers as part of its campaign to support the Welsh pig industry.
She said: "We believe shoppers will be inspired to support their local pork producers and try recipes like the paprika pork pot, the pork risotto with black pudding, leeks and peas, or the slow-roasted pork shoulder with apple, ginger, treacle and all spice."
"Both Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef have the EU’s coveted Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status. So if you see the PGI mark and the Welsh Lamb or Welsh Beef logos, you can be reassured you are getting the genuine product," Gill added.
The booklet will be available at independent butchers and multiple retailers and the material being sent out includes the bilingual pork recipe books, a pork carcase cuts poster and two ‘look for the logos’ posters.
