TB website relaunched
The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) has relaunched its Tuberculosis (TB) Free England website with an infographic poster, FAQs and videos, among other items.
The website includes facts regarding everything from number of cattle culled, the reduction in TB in New Zealand to costs and how many herds are affected.
The FAQ section includes the most commonly asked questions about bovine TB, including misconceptions, history and government policy.
Its cattle counter, measuring cattle culled in the UK because of TB since 1 January 2008, is currently at 183,452.
TB is one of the biggest challenges for farming and has led to tens of thousand of cows in the UK being culled every year.
