Scotch Beef Farm of the Year
AgriScot and Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) are looking for the next Scotch Beef Farm of the Year for the second time since it started last year.
Farms can either enter themselves or be nominated by others working in the industry across Scotland. The winning farm will receive a £500 cheque, as well as a £250 voucher at a Scotch Beef Club restaurant.
According to QMS chairman Jim McLaren, the winning entry must demonstrate enthusiasm, provide efficient, profitable production of Scotch Beef-eligible cattle and have excellent stock management skills.
AgriScot chairman Andrew Moir claimed his company was proud to work with QMS on the project and said: “There are a huge number of individuals out there who are truly dedicated both to the production of cattle and to the Scotch Beef brand. AgriScot, as THE farm business event, is equally dedicated to offering the agricultural industry an opportunity to grow and develop in order to build Scotland’s place and reputation within all areas of agriculture.”
McLaren added: “This initiative, delivered in partnership with AgriScot, is a fantastic opportunity to champion excellence in the Scottish red meat industry and recognise the commitment and passion producers have in supplying top-quality Scotch Beef.”
The winner will be announced at AgriScot at Ingliston 20 November.
