HCC appoints new board member

Welsh meat bosses are welcoming a new member to the board of Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales.

Alun Davies, the Welsh Assembly minister for natural resources and food, today announced the appointment of Bethan Wynne Jones as an independent member of the HCC board.

Jones, who currently works for the National Audit Office in London, was brought up on a dairy farm in North Wales and has 10 years experience in the field of public sector auditing.

The minister also confirmed the reappointment of Dai Davies as chairman for a further three years and said: "I am sure that Mr Davies will continue his fine work as Chairman of HCC during his new three year term. I am equally confident that Miss Jones will bring her considerable expertise to the board and will make a significant contribution to HCC’s excellent work in promoting Welsh red meat both at home and abroad."
