AHDB reveals conference details

18 December, 2013

Beef and lamb sector developments will be the focus of the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) Outlook Conference next year.

Jointly hosted by AHDB’s three divisions Eblex, Bpex and DairyCo, the conference will be given an overview of the outlook for the sector by AHDB Market Intelligence (MI).

Eblex’s export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier will examine export market developments and Food and Farming Minister George Eustice will address representatives from the beef, lamb, pork and dairy supply chain.

Director of supply chain for McDonald’s UK Connor McVeigh will look at how the UK supply chain for livestock products has responded to the challenges over the last 18 months.

AHDB MI/Eblex senior analyst Debbie Butcher said: “The beef and sheep break-out session will focus on sector-specific issues and opportunities that are likely to shape the development of the industry over the next year.”

The conference will be held on 12 February at One Great George Street in London.
