Munters has launched a new static pressure controller for livestock buildings. The SP100 is designed to maintain the static pressure between the inside and outside, and operates air inlets allowing the optimal ventilation for animals.
Wouter Claassens, Munters' applications manager said: "Using a static pressure controller is the most simple way of controlling air inlet opening sizes. If cold outside air enters a building through air inlets at too low a speed, it will fall to the bottom of the building and directly onto the animals inside."
Low or high static pressure usually indicates a problem with ventilation which could affect animal health. The SP100 controller operates on static pressure and ventilation problems can easily be detected because it has an alarm.
