Chefs armed with new EBLEX website

A new website designed to provide chefs with everything they need to know about English beef and lamb has been launched by the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX).

The site is full of information, from advice on specifications for different cuts of beef and lamb, to information on the Quality Standard scheme - and details of suppliers registered with the scheme.

All the latest news and information on EBLEX competitions, events and promotional support material is also featured on the site.

There is a special section which can only be accessed by members of the EBLEX Pub Club who have registered on the site.

Here visitors will have access to beef and lamb recipes, as well as EBLEX's library of CD roms including: Quality Standard Steak: A Masterclass; Lamb - A Celebration of England's Culinary Heritage; A Guide to Specifications for Beef and Lamb and Beef - What makes Quality Standard Beef a Hero?

EBLEX foodservice project manager, Hugh Judd, said: "I am confident that visitors to the site will find it to be an extremely useful resource which they come back to time and time again.

"It really is the definitive guide to English beef and lamb for caterers - and it also contains plenty of useful information about EBLEX and the support that we can offer to businesses that have signed up to our Quality Standard scheme."
