Fully cooked and frozen sausage manufacturer Snowbird Foods has introduced Sticky Dippers, a concept based on heat-and-serve Gourmet Pork and Mustard Cocktail Sausages, to the snacks market. Product developers came up with a trio of dipping ideas, including mango chutney and honey - a mixture of 75% honey and 25% grain mustard - and glazed cranberries and honey.
Both the sauces and the sausages can be heated together in an oven, or microwave, to provide a quick and easy snack.
Other innovative ideas from the company include Luxury Stuffing Balls, Hand-Held Sausage & Mash and Porkies. The company claimed Porkies were more convenient to manufacture than Pigs in Blankets. Instead of painstakingly wrapping bacon around bangers, bacon is included in the mix inside the sausage casing. This delivers an even spread of flavours as well as time-saving convenience with a product which, again, can be oven-baked or microwaved.
