Bizerba focuses on hygiene
Bizerba has launched a new checkweigher, which it claims eliminates bacteria contamination when weighing highly perishable foods.
Bizerba director of industry solutions Dieter Conzelmann said that, when using conventional scales, there is often a problem with bacteria collecting in edges and corners, particularly under the display. He said: "We did away with the display on the new scales and used tubular structures, so the water flows off the sloped sections and nothing gets trapped."
The terminal, Bizerba said, can be adapted to unique conditions and is available in several designs, such as a console display, mounted on a stand or fixed to the wall. It has an LCD display with a digit height of 20mm, which can be read easily, even in poor light conditions. The user can also change the unit of measurement at any time. The terminal has USB/RS232 interfaces, connecting it to computers and printers.
