Easy and appy meat purchasing
Eblex has launched a new app in order to help caterers and retailers order the right cuts more efficiently and accurately.
The app, which can be used from smartphones, tablet computers or the standard computer, brings Eblex’s Meat Purchasing Guide to the fingertips of those who need it.
According to Eblex, the Meat Purchasing Guide app, which is free to download, is a great mobile tool that can simplify the meat ordering process and save businesses valuable time. It can also enable chefs and retailers to gain greater benefit from more consistent products. Once an order has been placed using the app, the supplier will receive a direct link to cutting specifications and step-by-step cutting instructions.
Business development manager for Eblex Dick van Leeuwen said: "We are very excited to announce the launch of out new Meat Purchasing app, which has been specifically developed to make the meat ordering process quick and easy for chefs and retailers, while also providing them with new product ideas.
"Because it is based on the latest version of our Meat Purchasing Guide, it contains over 450 beef, veal, lamb and mutton cuts - a fantastic range to choose from."
The app has been developed for use on Android and iOS and allows the user to add personal touches by letting them add notes to various cuts and other products, such as poultry, fish and pork. It also coincides with the launch of Eblex’s fifth and latest edition of the Meat Purchasing Guide, which has more than 450 different protein cuts.
Also, the app will be officially launched at IFE this weekend (17-20 March) in London’s Excel Centre.
