Government searches replacement for AHDB chair
The government is seeking a new chair for the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) as John Godfrey is nearing the end of his term of office.
Defra is advertising for the ministerial appointment, which will lead the organisation, as Godfrey is due to step down in March.
AHDB explained that the new chair will have to “demonstrate that levy payers are getting a good return on their investment in the drive to become more efficient, competitive and sustainable on a world stage”.
This is due to the continually strong value-for-money theme, and AHDB added that the person specification includes “a clear industry vision, influence and an ability to inspire”.
The closing date for applications is the last day of this month, with interviews due to take place in the second half of February.
