Telford butcher introduces meat delivery service
A Shropshire-based butcher is hoping to tempt his customers with the launch of new service delivering meat boxes directly to their doors.
GN Badley & Sons in Trench, Telford, believes his scheme to be the first of its kind in Shropshire and follows the model of veg boxes offered by farm shops throughout the UK.
Customers can buy a one-off box with a variety of products, or, from next month, they will be able to sign up to a regular subscription of meat deliveries.
Simon Badley, managing director, said: “We are one of only three butchers in the area that offer online ordering, which already sets us apart. But from speaking to our customers, we know there is more we can do for them, so we want to do it.
“This will hopefully transform their shopping habits and they can always be sure they have fresh meat, prepared nearby and ready to cook for dinner.
“It saves the hassle of having to make sure you get something out of the freezer to defrost the night before and also means people can be safe in the knowledge that they always have fresh, good-quality meat.”
The shop is now offering customers packages that include a meat box for two, a family meat box, and a meat box for beef lovers.
